558. You Can Not Guarantee Tomorrow

You can not guarantee tomorrow,

So why must you steal away our today?

Let us live, and love, and laugh so,…

We don’t waste our lives away,

In fear of the inevitable.

You can not guarantee our safety.

You can not even guarantee your own.

Life and time pass us by swiftly.

So, why spend our time alone,

When today could be our final one?

You can not guarantee life at all.

It only guarantees you’re a liar,

For we all live and someday fall.

Life is hard, and often dire,…

Though a vast journey from start to end.

Do not guarantee us tomorrow,

And do not plan, and scheme, and try to steal,…

From the stories you’ll never know.

Life is like a spinning wheel,

Which moves ever onward steadily.

So, do not guarantee tomorrow.

I am more than content with my today.

Let me live, and love, and laugh so,…

When it’s my time I can say,

“I did not miss tomorrow, because I lived today”.

557. Noise

It shouldn’t have needed to be said,

If you were going to hear.

Speaking is not hearing,

And silence is not absence,…

I am here.

A thousand upon a thousand words.

Lifetimes of echoing noise,

Drifted away, …unheard.

And I’ve always been waiting,..

Silently, in the noise,…

To be heard.

556. I Should Be Afraid

I should be afraid.

“Different” is a gun to the head,

In the hands of others;

With a ransom to be paid,

Or body laid, instead.

I can’t be honest,

To the holstered mobs of false decor.

Anomaly hunters…

Distinctions at their behest,

In their cruel quest, for more.

I should be frightened.

My fate’s to be devoured or loathed.

“Different’s” never “same”.

In this world I’d find no friend,

Once exposed,..and unclothed.

I should be afraid.

“Different” is a gun to the head,

That is out of my hands.

There is no life unafraid,

‘Til I’m laid…as the dead.

555. Stalking Health

The doctors are watching…

Watching closely.

Their eyes are everywhere…Watching!

As we shift about nervously,

Afraid of what they’ll say.

The doctors are harming,…

Harming us all;

For don’t you find it alarming?

That they cry about each Covid fall?

Yet suicides are fine?

The doctors are lying…

Lying at will.

Mental health they’re fine denying,

And the psychologists lie still,

As public health declines.

The doctors are watching…

Watching closely.

Mask up! Isolate! Take the sting!

You should be scared…Their scheme’s clearly…

Not about “health”!

554. Woeride

You recklessly drove through my life,

And crashed my heart to pieces.

One moment there,…the next, gone…

An effigy drawn,

On the permanent creases,

Of my soul.

You damaged those closest to you,

Then *clash* *crash* …faded away…

From wreckage…and carelessness…

And the bloody mess,

Of hearts run o’er on the way,

To your pride.
