I’m so overtired.
I wish I could sleep.
I stare at the ceiling,
And silently weep.
I’m nobody’s worry,
And nobody’s care.
Lifetimes of emotions,
Pull me here and there.
The moon’s even sleeping.
I wish I could too,…
Though life, it is not fair,
And it is not through.
I have many more nights,
To cry on my own;
And far many more days,
‘Fore I can go home.

I have nothing to say to you,
I’m stronger on my own.
I don’t need anything from you.
I prefer to be alone.
Humans usually want something;
They, are rarely selfless,
And I do not have anything…
To give up, so it’s useless.
I can appreciate some things,
Provided by the pack,
But the bite of betrayal stings,
And I’ve learned from each attack,
That I can not depend on you,
And I’ve got my own back.

Society sees me as unhuman,
Yet, expects me to act as one,
And treats me as less than human,
While expecting me not to run,…
Away.
The world demands of me, humanity,
And trust without reason or rhyme.
I’m not okay with perjury,
And refuse to spend more time,
In waste.
So, then why should I trust, or pretend to?
Why try to connect anymore?
No matter what trials I’ve passed through,
I’m ne’er seen as anything more,…
Than less.

I’ve always followed my own path.
Made my own way.
Beyond the borders of society,
I trodded off another way,
For there was no one else who could understand me.
Though maybe, someday, things will change,
For those like me.
There’ll be a clear path through the far hollow,
Because I was steadfast enough,
To keep walking my own way, rather than follow.

But you are not my friend.
If I’m hiding from you.
It’s what I have to do.
Run. Hide. Defend.
You are not a monster,
But you are not an angel.
You may not be hunting me,
Though you’ll not guard or help me;
Fight or dispel.
You are not a stalker,
But you’re also never there.
Don’t say I should feel secure.
I know when hard times occur,
You won’t be there.
You are not a villain,
But you are not a hero.
You won’t be there to help me,
To traverse this world safely.
Red: Stop. People: Go!
You are not that evil,
But you are not that good.
So, I can not trust you;
A human through and through.
‘Would’, ‘Could’, and ‘Should’,
Yet none of them mean ‘Do’.
