When I take my last breath,
All the moments of this life shall seem,
As nothing more then the death,
Of a long, yet fleeting dream.
For dreams, they drift away,
As the mind awakens…fade to dust.
Lost in the eternal fray,
They perish, as all dreams must…
So we can greet the day.

Let me offer some hard-learned advice,
About struggle and sacrifice.
No matter how strong you are,
One day you will think twice,
And denounce every scar.
“Life is not worth living anymore”,
You will say…but you must endure!
For those few precious moments…
Of joyfulness…so pure.
Life’s in the experience,
So fight on with great valor!

I find that I’m more nostalgic these days,
And wonder if it’s simply part of getting older?
Or is it a sign of the times?
With evil getting bolder,
And committing further crimes?
I find myself feeling ever more grateful,
For each moment idling hours ‘way with fam’ly:
The one that I got to help create;
And, for now, sit happily,
Before it becomes too late,
And we rise and disperse unto fate.

Up on and away…
Into the vast skies,
Of yesterday.
Where all of us go,
When we leave and grieve,
In the long ago,

Sit with me awhile,
As the walls collapse around us;
For I live to see you smile,
And the chaos can not touch us,
When hearts so pleasantly beguile.
Let’s sit hand-in-hand,
And remember, as we gaze…
Into another land,
That all time is but a phase;
And life and death: unplanned.
So sit with me tonight.
Let us go away together,
Where the sun is shining bright,
And we can always be together.
Hold me close, and hold on tight.
Sit with me awhile…For I….
