Too far away. Who would go?

You can not know.

The sun, it set,

Then came the snow.

Gone. Frozen in time…afar.

I can not move,

To where you are.

Too far away. Who would go,

To where I am?

With other places to go?

Life stops for no one, so I hope you know.

I don’t want you to stay.

I want you to go.

I long to escape,

Yet I’ve nowhere to go.

My heart lies on the ground,

Covered over with snow.

I long to fly up…

Upon the winds, and free,

Instead at the window,

I dream of being me.

I long to return,

To the sun and the earth,

Where I feel warm and light,

And every breath has worth.

I long to escape,

Though I’ve nowhere to go;

Yet when winter is gone,

Do not find me and sow.

Please spread my dust out,

I have places to go.

Sing me the snow song,

The song of the snow;

Of glittering white powder,

That all fairies know,

Send smiles with each snowflake,

Ah, good for all mens sake.

So sing me the snow song,

The song of the snow;

Of fantastical snow-lands,

That all creatures know,

Are always here with us,

In ‘mag’nations aglow—

O’ let it snow!

Clouds drifting. Sun shifting.

Light shines down, all around.

What a thrill in this chill,

To see morn, Earth adorn,

With new life, ‘mid old strife.

Smile and cheer. New days here.

Forget past. Future’s fast!

Beauty ’round. Nature abound.

See it well, for I tell:

“Days as this aren’t to miss!”

Many will grow more nil.

With times’ pass, lose their mass.

As it knows, time fast goes!

Breathe it in, days’ begin.

For this day will pass away,

And cannot forever stay.

100. Winters’ Entrance

Leaves in the autumn breeze float, flip, and turn.

Soon will come winters’ freeze,

Snow and cold earn.

End of these colored-days,

Blank branches show.

A leaf slowly fade-aways,

And soon there is snow!
