130. Out of Range Change

Why hope in vain for things to change?

When all signs and sights contradict.

Hope, love, and happiness…,

All just out of range.

Why hope for sleep in nightmares’ lair,

When fear is all that can be felt?

Can’t trust any truths seen,

For honor these days is rare.

So why hope in vain for a change?

When nothing ever has or will?

No trust can be found,

When all is out of range.

56. The Freak Inside

In my mind I’m not fit to be anything that you might see.

I’ll never belong with my own and will be forever ‘lone.

I know when people look at me they see the freak that I be.

I try to hide what I am, but I always fail their exam.

I can feel their hate and disgust, for me, whom they distrust.
