9. Is Love to Be?

What is it about you that makes my heart dance,

That makes my eyes glow,

That makes my life flow?

Why do you affect me?

Is it your absorbing eyes,

Or maybe it’s your form and size?

But maybe it is something more.

Maybe my eyes can see deeper,

See the person inside,

A person with whom to confide.

Maybe I can see beyond,

Beyond this pretty form,

To see the soul whom with me is compatible.

Someday perhaps we’ll meet,

If it be in ‘God”s perfect will,

And he’ll see beyond me as well,

But only time will tell.

I think that if we met, he would like me as well,

And realize how similar we are,

Even though we’ve been so long afar.

7. Point of Decision

There comes a point when you must change, everything, and roam a new range.

Your old ways no longer will do. Absolutely, a new path is set for you.

You realize now, what you had done, incorrectly, and finally walk into the sun.

There comes a point in your life, believe me, you will need to lose that strife.

You must learn, do what works, unquestionably; and toss the old that lurks.

Move on now to a better day, unmistakably; a new one in every way.

6. Human to You?

I just want someone to care.

Is that so much to ask?

Please at my heart don’t tear!

Being nice is my only task.

Am I really that ugly,

That you must treat me so?

Is it so hard to stand me,

When I’m a human, like you, you know?

Why do you hate me so much?

Why is everything wrong I do?

Is coldness sent from my touch?

Why do I not seem human to you?
